Hoping to buy a new horse

I went looking at a couple of horses yesterday with my younger sister, there was 2 grullas, a chestnut and a buckskin...I always wanted a buckskin, and the owner was selling her for $400..she's 5 years old, around 15.2 hands, and is well built..She needs a lot of work though

Bad luck?

Okay so today I was riding my horse, montana..while my younger sister rode my mom's mare Darlin and we were both riding bareback...Well I had just asked montana to trot, he strumbled shortly after and couldnt catch his self, so he went down...I put my hands on his neck to try and keep me balanced as he went down, but I fell off to the side and managed to catch myself from hitting the ground hard with my hands and knees, montana rolled onto his side and landed on my right foot, and I pulled it ou… Continue

Starting to Train Rayne

I've been working with my mom's filly for a long time, ever since she was like a year old, working with her on leading, and getting her used to being away from her mother...When she was 2 years old, I worked on lounging with her, and getting her used to having the bareback saddle on her back..it was the lightest thing around and she accepted it..She's going to be turning 3 in may, though she has had the saddle on her back a few times, I never tried to get on her...Until a few days ago, I couldnt… Continue

As far as selling the Aussie saddle it will depend on the brand name and overall quality of the saddle. Anywhere from 200.00 to 1200.00. I would check the brand of saddle and check with ebay sales and see what others like it are selling for.

Hi!
I was just reading what you wrote about possibly getting another mustang and was just wondering if you did?

Hey Girl!
I had a great summer and did quite a bit of riding and playing with my horses. My Mom and sister (aka ponygal)
came to spend a week with us. My sister took some neat pictures and did video of my horses and my miniature. Sorry to hear you and Montana had a fall again. I went off one of my young ones too when she spooked at (?) nothing? Haha Luckily I was okay and she didn't run off but stood there looking at me like "Hey what are you doing down there. Did you fall off?" Days are getting shorter already and I can feel fall in the air. I have been studying my Parelli Natural Horsemanship and dreaming of a scholarship or working sudent position somewhere. Not sure who would make the farm payments then, though. LOL

Hi Brogan,
I was thinking of you and hoping you and Montana have had a good summer. Drop us a line if you have time and let us know how you are. Are you busy with plans for the holiday weekend? I am hoping to have lots of time to play with my horses.

Hey Brogan,
This is part of a new game called tag on the website so TAG you are IT. Can you tell us more about your horse Montana. How long have you had him? Did you get to name him? What kind of training are you doing with Montana? If you could train him to be or do anything what would it be? After you answer this then you go "tag" another member with a question, Okay?

Hi , Brogan. I noticed that you are a part of the PNH club. What level are you on?

Hey Brogan,
How's your summer going? Bet it is nice to have a break from school and play with your horse instead. I think it is great that you are taking the time to work with Montana's feet to get him prepared for the farrier day. I have found that when we take the time to help them understand what we are asking horse will do about anything for you. It is when we force them to do things and they are frightened by it that they react violently. Is it about time for the county fairs at your place? I am thinking about showing this year but I am not sure yet. Anyway I've missed "seeing" you and was glad to see your post!

Pretty quiet around here. Playing with my miniature Little Man and enjoying time with my Arabian girls. Been getting our garden in and hoping to find time to do some trail riding soon. Be sure to tell us about your summer fun and I hope you and Montana have the BEST time on your trail ride.

You are doing a lot of living early in life, apparently, or life has a great lot to show you.

Learning how to let go when you've lost something is a life long lesson. And I think one of the best ways to never let go in your heart.

Every horse and dog I was a companion with still is in my heart. Some gone over 40 years. Some even 60 years.

Bruno, Poncho, Lance, Phantasia (Pam), Koko, Haumea, and Po. More of course. But these each of these had special lessons for me. Helped me grow. Gave me their wisdom.

Know that you will remember them even when you are as old as I, and older. And likely feel the same gratitude they shared their lives with you, no matter how brief.
