Wayyy too long since I visited
Sept. was quiet at home but busy at the farm. The place where I board is a public ag farm for apples, corn, pumpkins etc. They give hay rides and do a corn maze.
It's a total zoo on the weekends.
I've been riding bareback.. doing it several times a week with the longest being 2 hours at the local park. The ladies on the farm convinced me I was ready to learn over the summer. I got used to it in 30 min. rides and extended it over the months. P… Continue

That little voice...
Yesterday I felt it. I heeded it and went to the farm early. My horses are paddocked during the hottest hours as the farm manager prefers to turn out at night. That's fine for her guys since they have a barn with fans. My guys are in a paddock, have a tent shelter they refuse to use so have no real way to escape the bugs. My Mini Therapy Horse.. Hoho
About 4 years ago a friend of mine owned him. She bred mini's and had too many! I would always go into his pen and love on this one. He was eager for attention and love and welcomed my hugs and kisses. I fell in love with him.
He is blind in one eye (vet thinks from a kick..probably a mare), he has a bone in the back left leg that was broken and healed badly. (probably never got vet attention). He's about 17, I never got his reg.… Continue

Our SAR group was featured in an article in John Lyons "the Perfect Horse" Sept 2007 issue. Many of the pictures were taken by me or with my camera. I am in the few that were not taken by me. All of those pictures are on the webshots album for Search and Rescue. The group has been in operation for 2 years but have yet to be called out. Which is a good thing in a way. Congrats to your son on his graduation. It's hard and joyus to see them set for college. As a Mother I know how you must be feeling.
I looked at your pictures and videos on Webshots. Wow you have been busy since I last looked..lol.
By the way, you didn't look like crap. :)
Son graduated HS and we're tossing in a bunch of family day trips to local places before he heads off to college on the 29th for the summer program kickstart to his freshman year. (sad)
My Mom is visiting, had a short health scare but all is well and she will leave in another week.
Gonna be one real busy 10 days, then I collapse I guess!

We don't have the heat but have the rain in excess here and flooding in the midwest. Lucky that I do not live in the flood prone areas.

My middle son graduates HS on the 16th, same day as my 46th bday and I seem to have entered "peri-menopause". GURRRR lol
