Our home is livened by the lives of three Harlequin Great Danes and a lil rescued mini-mutt. For Saber (our mini) the dogs are his herd. I would have to say I think his favorite among the dogs is ...

And in the beginning have your mini in its pen and your pooch outside the pen and give treats to both.
First to the horse then to the pooch.
Do this frequently... by doing this both critters will associate that these special treats happen only when they are both together.
That's the starter.
My mini tended to chase the cats a bit when i got him but has relaxed a bit more now because they are always only lying a few feet away. He has a lovely nature and has accepted every thing we have done with him so far, he follows me around like a wee dog and even comes into the house sometimes to say hi.
my dog is a softy he would not hurt a fly, generally he tends to ignore anything else around him focusing on his stone instead. I would just like my mini to be accepting of my dogs presence and hopefully not chase him as i like to take him to my mums for a visit where he will be in the garden with the dog.
Is one overly interested in the other or more reluctant to interact with?
What sort of personalities do both of them have?
What is there activity & intelligent levels? I mean how would you describe them?
Is your BC treat motivated?
I'm assuming your mini enjoys treats ;)
What have you been uo to? Have not seen you on lately.
Hope all is well. :)
The first horse I bought of my own was a 6 month old quarter horse, when I was 12. I had him 26 years. He was the best!!!

There still was a treat reward .. which is Nilla Wafers.
The reason I say I didn't have enough hands were to train Saber a sit I used my arm cradled behind him that I'd gently pull inward above his hocks as he pushed outward with his rump.
An exercise of trust.
He trusted me that I would support him & keep him safe and I trusted him not to kick.
When we 1st started sitting he started in the house on a mattress on the floor.
His sit is from a stand.. not a down then sit up.
About my art THANKS! :)
I also have Great Dane art that can be seen at
