About Me:
I live in the Northern Illinois area and have been here all my life.

I work by day in the health related industry. I guess some might say I am a bit of a computer geek as electronics and computers have been part of my life for some time. I love the challenge. LOL

I owned a pony in my younger years, yeah, back in the day (okay, I know you're laughing) LOL me too. Her name was Gypsy and she was such a good girl. We bought her at auction for $16 back then. I rode her in our hometown parade and loved riding her bareback. I sure wish I could find pictures of her that I could post.
How did you find us?
I am the site creator & system administrator.
Tough job too..LOL
Favorite movies?
Titanic, Dances With Wolves, Robin Hood, and most all of the Kevin Costner films.
Favorite books?
Computer related :)
Favorite Music?
Easy listening mostly. I do like Enya, Celine, and some of the oldies like Journey.

Hi there, remember me?  I am in desperate need of a place to board my "Colonel". The stable is closing.  Is your offer of him staying at your place still open? I know that you liked him alot.  If not, do you know of anyone that'd be willing to board him for me?  I could even care for him myself if you know of a small pasture near Quincy. Please let me know ASAP.  I don't have much time left.  Thanks and take care!  Hugs, Cheri

Thanks for adding The Horse Boy video. It was an amazing story of perseverance and love. I see his parents now have a farm where they are helping other autistic children with horses. It's funny that none of us can explain the connection the horses and the children have. It a gift that God have given them is all I can say.

Nice pics Sissy. Your boy is doing well and adjusting to his new "digs". He loves sleeping in the sand and today he can come out and eat some grass on the tie out. I see his haircoat is beginning to shine up and that little "hay belly" looks sleeker. I will try to get his bridle path clipped and play with the clippers again. He does better with it each time. Are you ready to decide on our Halloween costumes yet?

I am respoding to your comment about clicker training. Actually, no we don't. The way we teach all of our mini's tricks is by bribery with treats that they really enjoy. At first, we give them a treat every time they perform the trick. Then after awhile, we lessen the treats and eventually they are to the point where they will do the tricks by getting rewarded with a pat.

We have two or three new geldings coming in. One I think is two or three, not sure about the ages of the others. If you want to drive, I can totally fix you up. Email for more info.

Mini Miracles Visits North Adams Nursing Home Residents

It’s not often you hear the sound of little hoof beats inside the North Adams Nursing Home but that is just what the residents heard

Mini Miracles Enjoys a Sunday Afternoon

On Sunday August 15th, we took the mini boys to Northwoods Nursing Center. Our 95 year old Mother came with us and saw for herself the magic that these little horses make.

We spent an hour with the residents and their families talking about the miniature horses, walking them around to visit and singing some old time songs. What a great day and a special thank you to Eva & Leon who volunteered to join us and help entertain. …

Mini's in training for therapy

Donald, In response to your comment we are teaching them good manners first and foremost. It is a combination of natural horsemanship and clicker/treat training. They have been taught many tricks for entertainment purposes and can stand on a pedestal, do an obstacle course, etc.

They have been taken inside the house many times so they had to learn navigating steps.

At the nursing homes they go inside to the activity center and… Continue

Is Spring ever gonna arrive?

Wow, what a long winter this has been. Snow so piled up that I could make a snow fort. Do you remember the days it was fun to be out throwing snowballs and building snowmen?
I am in need of vitamin D from the sunshine, to see the daffodils poke through and blossom, to see horses grazing on green grass, and to hear the sound of lawnmowers from my open window.
What are you anxious for with the arrival of spring?

My mini Major in his winter clothes

I have owned Major for a month now and what a lovable little mini he is.

For some reason unknown, I was drawn to this little horse that has a few problems and will undoubtably need a surgery in the spring. I just had to have him regardless of those costs.Off we went to pick him up in Wisconsin the end of September by the transportation specialist, Dennis (ridendurance's Hubby). Dennis graciously took a day off work to bring up a their… Continue
