I have owned Major for a month now and what a lovable little mini he is.
For some reason unknown, I was drawn to this little horse that has a few problems and will undoubtably need a surgery in the spring. I just had to have him regardless of those costs.Off we went to pick him up in Wisconsin the end of September by the transportation specialist, Dennis (ridendurance's Hubby). Dennis graciously took a day off work to bring up a their trailer so we could get him to his new home. I owe him BIG, HUGE, for such a favor.
I enjoyed a fun filled weekend at my Sisters house playing with him and letting him get to know me. We hung out together and I would sit by him as he sat in the sun in the arena. Little does he know the important job he will have in his near future. He will be a therapy horse for those in need. He will go out on missions with Little Man to bring joy to those that need cheering up.
Since that time, my sister now has all the fun/work of taking care of him. Her mini. Little Man, is less than happy with the new arrangement. He was not used to sharing his domain with an outsider. Both the minis try to bite each other in the butt when they have the chance. Hopefully once Major is gelded it will alleviate this situation.
I look forward to seeing him and my family again soon to reconnect.
